We keep things simple: GiftRadar collects very little about you. This page explains what happens to your information.

Who is responsible

GiftRadar is published under the Ourapp brand. For any privacy question, or to make a request about your personal data, email hello@ourapp.uk.

The gift finder

When you use the gift finder, the words, age, budget and occasion you enter are processed in your browser to show matches. We do not send them to a server, store them or share them. Your search may appear in the page address (for example, after you use the search box on the home page), which stays in your browser history on your own device.

Cookies and tracking

At the time of writing, GiftRadar itself does not set cookies and does not use advertising trackers. If we add analytics or similar tools in future, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.

Affiliate links and retailers

When you click an affiliate link, you go to the retailer’s website. The retailer, and the affiliate network that tracks the referral (for example, Awin or Amazon), may set cookies so that a purchase can be linked to GiftRadar. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies, so please read those on their sites. See our affiliate disclosure.

Emailing us

If you email us, we will use your email address and message only to reply to you and deal with your request. We keep the emails only for as long as needed and do not sell or share them.

Server logs

Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data about you, and to object to certain uses. To exercise them, email hello@ourapp.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
